From this angle, It reminds me of a Komayto from Kid Icarus

  2. ColdFusion

This is the best possible way this could be handled

uH ruy, that’s because komayto is a misinterpretation of the name Ko-Met. little metroid. they were supposed to be metroids.. and this thing was already pointed out as being a metroid homage.

Just to Clarify ColdFusion’s Point “Ko” can mean child or small in the same breed of creature. In most cases “Ko” is placed before the anima type “Inu” being dog “KoInu” Being “Dog child” Aka “Puppy” “Neko” being “Cat” “KoNeko” being “Cat Child” or “Kitten” So here we have “Komayto” Meaning “Small” and a mistranslation of Metroid which should be “Komet” That is “Metroid child.” With humans instead if you say “Little girl” its “Child of woman” “Onna no Ko” and “Little boy” Is “Otoko no Ko” “Child of man”

But they use it for bread too.. crumbs are panko. XD
And sometimes you get nicknames like nyanko and wanko.. meowy and barky.
