A couple of weeks ago I got dragon quest 9 and got a big surprise at the comicon because there was a dragon quest stant that gives a special map mortamor (a dungeon with the final boss in dq 6), clcik the pictures to see them full size

and of course no comicon visit will not complete if there wasnt a visit to the pokemon stant

Im tired now expect a full report on tuesday and saturday,  the comic will be up tuesday afternoon,

Survival Con advice
this is the fourth time I attend the san diego comicon here is some advice for newbies
in the business
1.-weapons.-

-business cards (kinda obvious) you never know who you will ever meet go to the portafolio
review, editors will ask for it if they are interested in your work, and no forget journalists
and new people in the business

Cards must contain your name, e-mail, url of your work(webcomic page, deviant etc) and a little
drawing that represent your work.
-fliers, there is a freebie table at the entrance of the con and with many people there (over 140,000) fliers of your
work is a must,if you are a cosplayer no one cant refuse a flier from you.
these must contain great art, your comic tittle and the comic url.

protip.- ask for the freebie table and get a place on it.

-portafolios.-
when the portafolio review site is up, the guys who do usual portafolio reviews
(dark horse,ape, etc)
have guidelines in their sites check them.

You must have a printed portafolio,some kind of mini giveaway portafolio and several digital copies (cds)
-something that worked for me that landed a few gig jobs is having a sketchfolio (a portafolio with napkin sketches
and normal sketches)

Normal con survival guide
-backpack.–

with all the freebies, comics and the stuff you get you need something to carry a lot stuff around.
(you cant expect to get a freebie bag, last year some of the bags that comicon registration gave away
were very fragile and most of them were unfit for the task)

protip.- wb bags are not very strong

the backpack must contain the following.-

–a bottle of water or soda (the small coke cost at least 5 usd so saving 5 bucks you can buy an extra comic or
two) besides you can refill your bottle at the con with water.

-snacks.- the same with water,

-deodorant.- kinda a must if you stay there all day, extra points if you have the full cleaning kit in there.

-extra money.- duh

-smart phones.- since its a pain in the ass to take out the schedule book at the con, use your smartphone to mark
all the panels you want to see also plan them ahead extra points if you download comicon app

-walky talkies.- phone bill are expensive, these are a more cheaper way to get in touch with your companions,

-camera .- duh, remember sometimes in panels footage is banned,
