Hi, you ran into a subtle landmine of the English language. While “you’re” is a contraction of “you are” it is not correct to use it in this circumstance, when the word “are” is the end of the sentence (no predicate). In a sentence like “You are smiling”, then one can say “You’re smiling.” It is a little abrupt though, so it would be more likely used in a sentence like “You’re smiling like you know a secret.” In that case above, it sounds more natural to not shorten it…”Are you my toy? Yes, you are.” It helps emphasize the “you”, the object of the sentence. It is more assertive than gliding you-are together as you’re. Hope that helps.
Wow, she’s got some spine, but she’s also smart. Once it’s been made clear you’re disposable, you get the hell out. (though I would have just sneaked away)
Nice to see another proofreader helping you out, but I’m afraid there’s a second mistake: should be disposed of* not just disposed.
If you want to save space, you can change ‘disposed’ to ‘discarded’ and it works fine, no need to add “of” anymore.
thanks a lot, you’re helping me a lot to improve the comic, kinda ashamed of myself doing so many mistakes , I will make an effort to reduce them
I’m grateful that you guys still enjoy the comic
It’s not your fault English is so hard.
It might help to write yourself little notes on grammar and sample sentences… but the various forms of “to be” and “to do” are so complicated ON THEIR OWN…
