This reminds me to an anedote of my great-grandmother who apparently went to the beach in the 1960s wearing one of those long white dress-like underwear pieces of the early 20th century and she went around hitting girls in modern swimswits and bikinies with her walking stick calling them “indecent”. Eventually a policeman fined her precisely for indecency, for going around in underwear and not in a proper swimsuit. Ironies of fashion!

I was wondering about that mask..
It’s interesting, this is sort of the reverse of a lot of European folklore.. things like skin-walkers.. usually they put ON an animal part, a skin or a head or a tail or a tooth or something.. and transform.. but these guys DITCH a body part.
