I think it’s fanon (canon among fans but not to Nintendo) that Ash’s dad is Giovanni. Professor Oak being his dad would make Gary his nephew.

Good luck on the commissions! Yeah I always thought Sakaki was Satoshi’s secret dad…
I wonder if maybe Mona’s like those reptiles and birds that can clone themselves.. hmm but she’s not a clone of her mom. Maybe it’s a “dragon’s teeth” situation

Personally I figured that her dad was probably blind. It’s probably one of the few ways to have a long lasting relationship with a medusa.
It would be rather amusing if it turned out that her dad was a blind human. who somehow always knows what’s going on around him no matter how sneaky people are.
